JOPLIN, MO.--- A short pursuit through Joplin leads authorities to arrest a female suspect. It all started around 4 this afternoon, when the Newton County Sheriff's Office received a call about someone trying to cash a forged check at a south Range Line bank. When deputies arrived, the suspects fled, leading authorities on a pursuit north on Range Line. Deputies caught up with the vehicle at an apartment complex on 24th and Arizona. They took the female driver into custody. Officials are looking into the whereabouts of a male passenger who fled the scene on foot.
