JOPLIN, MO.--- Do you have any expired gift cards this holiday season? State Treasurer Clint Zweifel is reminding Missourians to hold on to all expired gift cards. After 5 years, the remaining value of those expired cards can be turned over to unclaimed property. What this means: Gift cards never expire in Missouri. Treasurer Zweifel says the state has $7.3 million dollars in unclaimed property from gift cards and certificates. If you think this might be you, log on to showmemoney.com to see if your name is listed. For more information on how you might be able to redeem your gift card, click here.
