JOPLIN, MO.--- Joplin's nature center wants you to think about adding some native plants in your landscaping this year. Workers say including plants that are used to the area means they're better able to handle changes in the weather, as well as both wet and dry conditions. That's the focus of a workshop tomorrow at the Wildcat Glades Conservation and Audubon Center.
"It's from 9 to 12 this Saturday. So, we really hope we'll get a lot of people to come out and learn about using native plants in their landscaping," said Chris Pistole, Wildcat Glades Education Director.
Those attending the workshop will also get free plants to take home. You can register for the event by calling the nature center at 417-782-6287.
