WEBB CITY, MO.--- Genealogical Society volunteers like Janet Stults help history buffs learn more about Webb City. Yearbooks from 1906, pictures from the mining days, and many artifacts are just some of the items you can find at the library. Stults was born and raised in Webb City. Her mother was very influential in the city's school district.
"The kindergarten is, has her name, Madge T. James. And we just feel, and Bob's mother taught school in the district. So his grandfather was a mason and he laid the foundation for a lot of the buildings in town," said Janet Stults, Genealogical Volunteer.
The genealogical society also has two scrap books of old newspaper clippings from World War II. Every man's name mentioned in the paper is written down in an index. You can find these historic documents on the second floor of the library.
