Update: Oklahoma Propane Shortage

Governor Mary Fallin takes action on the propane shortage.
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK--- Oklahoma is still in a state of emergency due to a propane shortage. Governor Mary Fallin is taking more action. She has ordered the Oklahoma Department of Human Services to give priority status to requests for assistance from low-income families. Many families in rural Oklahoma rely heavily on propane to heat their homes. At the same time, frigid temperatures and a high demand, have caused propane prices to soar.
The governor has also ordered the Energy Crisis Assistance application period to open immediately for qualifying individuals and families. If you are a low-income family or individual and use propane as your primary source for heat, you can see if you qualify for assistance by calling 405-521-3444.
