JOPLIN, MO.--- The Missouri Southern Presidential Search Committee is one step closer to finding a new president. As of today, the committee has finished looking at 53 applications. In the next two weeks, they will spend time completing phone interviews and background checks. The group will meet again on May 27th to make final recommendations to the Board of Governors.
"We've had a good qualified pool of candidates, so yes I think we'll be able to make some good, solid recommendations to the board," said Sherry Buchanan, Presidential Search Committee Co-Chair.
On June 2nd, the board will receive a final report from the committee, at which point the board will decide if they would like to interview candidates any further.
