Two In Jail For Meth Charges

As a part of an ongoing investigation into methamphetamine manufacturing several law enforcement agencies on working to make arrest in Baxter Springs Kansas.
BAXTER SPRINGS, KS--- Authorities say while conducting a search of a home at 117 East 17th St in Baxter Springs, KS. they found an active meth lab. Arrested on scene were William Gonzalez, 47, of the home, and Stevie Ann Barrera, 32, of Miami, OK. Both suspects were taken into custody and are currently being held in Cherokee County Jail without bond on allegations of several methamphetamine possession and manufacturing charges.

The search warrant on that home, also resulted in the execution of a warrant at 1041 Cleveland St. in Baxter Springs, where Jimmy Riddle, Sue Maxwell, and James Edwards were all taken into custody of meth manufacturing related charges. As the investigation continues additional arrests are anticipated.
