JOPLIN, MO.--- Roper Kia in Joplin has made a generous donation to help children. $15,500 and two car-loads of toys were given to the Children's Center of Southwest Missouri. The car dealership dedicated the month of April to helping children. 514 customers donated a toy last month in exchange for a free oil change.
"April is Child Abuse Awareness Month. We just really wanted to support a community center that was helping the kids in a major way," said Jack Frost, Roper Kia.
"As the child leaves, we can give them a care package and just so that they know that there are people who really do love them and care for them," said Kathi Olson, Children's Center Executive Director.
Roper Kia also donated a portion of the proceeds from vehicles that were sold in April.
