RIVERTON, KS--- An afternoon fire has displaced a Riverton woman and her children. Around 3:30 this afternoon, the Riverton Fire Department responded to flames at a home. The blaze happened at 6923 Elk Drive. No one was home at the time of the fire. Fire chief, Bill Hall, says the inside of the home sustained enough damage that the family cannot stay there. The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined. The home owner and her children are now staying with family members.
