JOPLIN, MO.--- The Joplin Board of Education has decided to get rid of the mobile classroom located at the old Duenweg Elementary School. The move will open up space for the FEMA safe room that will be constructed on the property over the next several months. A company has been selected to move the mobile classroom and will keep the unit for salvage. Once the safe room is completed, it will be accessible to the community during severe weather. The school is currently empty. Students have moved to their new school, Soaring Heights Elementary, last month.
