PITTSBURG, KS.--- The Department of Family and Consumer Services at PSU is selling heywood-wakefield furniture that had been stored at the college for decades. There are several of the mid-century modern pieces up for sale. Proceeds from the sale will go towards new furniture to be used for a student lounge inside the Family and Consumer Sciences Building.
"We've enjoyed the opportunity to use it through all the years, and it's going to bring back some revenue for us that will allow us to update what we can give to our current students," said Duane Whitbeck, FCS Department Chair at P.S.U.
Bids for the furniture will be closed on September 12th. Those interested in learning how they can bid on the vintage furniture can find out how by clicking here.
