PITTSBURG, KS.--- The numerous construction projects that took place this summer have progressed as planned. Nation Hall is in its final phase of inspection and students will be able to move in two weeks. Hecker Wells Hall is on track to finish by August 29th, just in time for students to work in the labs. Director of Facilities Planning Paul Stewart says the largest project is renovation of the student center. The first of multiple phases is almost complete, which should help students and faculty work around the construction.
"The other phases is really to allow us to keep some of the meeting rooms during the academic year, so that we don't close down and lose all the services in the building is really the reason for the phasing," said Paul Stewart Director Of Facilities Planning.
Stewart says anticipating inclement weather during projects has helped construction stay on track.
