PSU 112th Academic Year Meeting

PSU 112th Academic Year Meeting

Faculty and staff at Pittsburg State University gathered today for a meeting to kick start the 112th academic year.
PITTSBURG, KS.--- PSU President Dr. Steve Scott discussed last years success and shared his plans for the coming year. The meeting addressed the financial challenges the university will be facing. One of the financial difficulties is resulting from less state funding due to the 2012 tax cuts. Dr. Scott says despite the obstacles and stress, the university is trying their best to make this an extraordinary year. Dr. Scott introduced a new student to the faculty and staff who represents the importance of their work.

"He has hopes and dreams for his life. And, it all really depends on what we do, how we work with him, how we support him, how we engage him to learn and guide him," said Dr. Steve Scott, PSU President.

Dr. Scott says this meeting is a reminder to faculty and staff how important this institution is to the students and region.
