PITTSBURG, KS.--- In order to get the kids ready for the big race tomorrow, they held a safety clinic today. The clinic provided an opportunity for children to see how a triathlon works and what it will take for them to win the race this Saturday. Race director, Joanna Rhodes, says the entire event flows a lot better when families attend a preview day.
"So our goal for that is teaching them some swim, run, bike safety as well, but also to show them how a triathlon works and then tomorrow they put it all together," said Joanna Rhodes, Race Director.
The triathlon starts tomorrow morning at 10:30 right outside the Pittsburg Aquatic Center at Lincoln Park.
