JOPLIN, MO.--- Tamko President and C.E.O. David Humphreys is behind the drive. He wants to quote "provide the taxpayers with a clear understanding of the finances and the expenditures of the R-8 School District. As taxpayers, we should be interested in assuring that financial matters are handled both appropriately and with care." The effort is similar to a petition drive asking for an audit of Joplin city finances. That paperwork was picked up in March, but has not yet been returned to the state auditor.
