MIAMI, OK--- President Obama is encouraging state and law makers to raise the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 per hour. Obama is making this a central part of his policy goals for the second half of his final term in office, but chances for this are slim. According to the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics, people under the age of 25 make up about half of those paid federal minimum wage or less.
