Newton County Murder-Suicide Autopsy Report

The findings agree that Ann Kelley shot her estranged husband, Edwin Kelley, and then turned the gun on herself.
NEOSHO, MO.--- Preliminary autopsy results confirm details of a Newton County murder-suicide last week. A Springfield expert examined the bodies of Ann Kelley, 69, and Edwin Kelley, 73, earlier today. He ruled their deaths were caused by the handgun recovered at the scene.

The findings also agree that Mrs. Kelley shot her estranged husband and then turned the gun on herself. A passerby found the pair lying in the road south of Neosho near the intersection of Interstate 49 and AA Highway last Thursday. Authorities say the pair were going through a divorce, but that it's unclear what led to the shooting.
