NEVADA, MO.--- Workers are making progress on construction for the Nevada Public Works Safety Building. The south parking lot of city hall where customers used to park is being remodeled. That makes it difficult for residents to make bill payments.
City leaders say they notice a need in the 1980's to replace the building, but the city's never had a sustainable plan to finance the construction. The Nevada city manager says he realizes the inconvenience for water and sewer customers and for those buying cab coupons, but ask for residents to be patience.
"We encourage them to explore an auto draft where you can have your utility bill taken directly from your checking account, you can always pay over the phone with a credit card of no charge, you can get online at Nevadamo.org and pay through a secure billing a nominal fee," said JD Kirman, Nevada City Manager.
Taxi cab coupons can also be purchased at the Nevada Housing Authority.
