JOPLIN, MO.--- Missouri Southern Sate University students are sending some love to a nursing home. Today, students made homemade Valentine's Day cards for the elderly. The project was for the university's Wellness Wednesday's. Stickers, stamps, glitter, and colorful paper were all used to make the heart-felt cards. The students enjoyed taking time out of their schedule to make the cards.
"We just decided that giving back is really good. We do so much for students on campus, we thought this one was a good way to give back to the community. So every once in awhile we do things like this and this was one we thought fit really well with Valentine's Day coming up," said Chris Eolan, MSSU Volunteer.
The cards will be delivered to a nursing home in Joplin, but Southern officials haven't decided which one.
