Missouri Southern State University Wellness Wednesday

The program is designed to help students who want a healthy, well balanced lifestyle.
JOPLIN, MO.--- Missouri Southern State University students held "Wellness Wednesday" today. The program is designed to help students who want a healthy, well balanced lifestyle. They participated in a program called "Make & Take Healthy Soup." Students made potato soup mix by adding spices to instant potatoes. Now, all they will have to do is pour the mix in a bowl of hot water and their meal is ready to eat.

"Well, it's always good to have an extra meal. Sometimes you're like, 'well I don't want to go eat out, I don't want to leave, I don't want to make anything hard.' So, you just pack this, add water, you're good to go," said Gary Lowe, MSSU Rec. Center Intern.

Wellness Wednesday's are held every Wednesday at MSSU in the Lion's Den.
