JOPLIN, MO.--- Heavy equipment is onsite west of the existing residence halls, laying the foundation for new housing. The three story complex will include six buildings and 51 student apartments. The living arrangements will be a change for those staying on campus with individual bedrooms and bathrooms along with shared living areas and kitchens. Meanwhile, there are two more work zones involving MSSU athletic programs.
"The end zone facility, it's ahead of schedule a little bit and on budget, so we're doing well there," said Dr. Alan Marble, MSSU President.
That sits on the north end of football stadium and should open in 2015. Work on a new a baseball stadium will start as soon as the bidding process is complete.
