JOPLIN, MO.--- Having an in-person interview is nerve wracking for some, but having a good resume is key to landing that job right out of college. Today, Missouri Southern held an event to help students land that first job out of college. The event helps students find ways to stand out with a pile of resumes. Those who attended learned a few tricks to polish a resume and making good first impression. Missouri Southern representatives say this event is good for their students and alumni.
"A lot of times, our students just don't have the opportunity to interact with professionals until they are actually in that interview and scared. And so this is an opportunity for them to be prepared and be empowered," said Nicole Brown, Director of Career Services.
Three more career events will be held.
