JOPLIN, MO.--- With Valentine's Day this week, love is in the air but it's important to be in a healthy relationship. Missouri Southern State University in Joplin is hosting a Healthy Relationship Week. Several booths were setup at the student center to make love bracelets, also you can send a bottle of orange crush soda to your Valentine crush. Organizers say it's important to form positive relationships at a young age because it affects your future.
"We want to make sure they have a solid foundation. The relationships are the basis of who we are and what we achieve. And so we want to make sure your partners are a support system around you. So you have that stability to fall back on during hard times," said Heather Arnold, Director of Health and Wellness.
Signs you're in an unhealthy relationship include constant fighting, tension and depression.
