JOPLIN, MO.--- Missouri Southern State University in Joplin held a dedication for its donor wall. It's located on the top floor of the Billingsly Student Center outside of the Connor Ballroom. Listed on the wall are names of individuals and corporations that have donated money to the university. "Images in Tile" from Joplin designed the wall. The cost was $32,000 and the company donated half of the costs to the university.
"To be able to be competitive and to provide the newest equipment and to provide scholarships, and the best instruction that takes additional contributions. And so we really count on that to make it happen for our students to provide them the best opportunities," said JoAnne Graffam, MSSU Development.
A television screen has also been installed in the center of the mural. It will show videos of where the money is going and the funds they're supporting.
