Missouri Legislators Speak at Webb City Elks Lodge

Legislators discuss various issues with the public at an event in the four states.
WEBB CITY, MO -- Legislators discuss various issues with the public at an event in the four states. For the second year in a row, the Elks Lodge in Webb City hosted an Eggs and Issues event. More than 25 people showed up to ask Missouri legislators about various political issues. Attendees got the opportunity to hear from state representatives Charlie Davis, Bill White and Bill Lant along with State Senator Ron Richard. Representatives with Billy Long and Roy Blunt's offices were also on hand to answer questions.

"It's important to understand what our people back home feel about different things, not necessarily from the state issues, but federal issues. A lot of the conversation today was on federal breach and on federalism, so we like to keep in touch, and when we're in session it's even more critical," said Senator Ron Richard.

The forum lasted nearly 3 hours. Lawmakers answered several questions ranging from Obamacare to gambling.
