MISSOURI--- Missouri lawmakers are considering impeachment proceedings against Governor Jay Nixon. Three separate resolutions have been filed by state representatives. One claims that Nixon willfully neglected his duties by delaying special elections to fill vacant house seats. Another claims the governor has violated the Missouri Constitution by ordering state workers to recognize same sex marriage in tax filings. A third resolution targets him for refusing to fire state workers attempting to share the personal information of some Missouri gun owners with the federal government. The resolutions are currently under consideration in the House Judiciary Committee.
