JOPLIN, MO.--- Missouri Gas Energy donates $25,000 to help support the United Way in Joplin. United Way of Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas meets the needs of struggling children, adults, and families. A representative with Missouri Gas and Energy says they believe in their commitment to strengthen the communities they serve and they love what United Way stands for.
"Once we joined the Lecre Group out of St. Louis, we realized and found out they also believe very strongly in United Way. With us joining their forces, we were able to get an even larger contribution than we have had in the past," said Galen Shoemaker, Missouri Gas Energy.
The money will help individuals who are in need.
