Miracle Riders Stop in Joplin

A group of bikers stopped into Joplin today to support the Children's Miracle Network Hospital.
JOPLIN, MO---The group, from Georgia, is called, Scott's Ride for Miracles. Sixteen riders are traveling across the lower 48 states within 21 days raising money for the local Children's Miracle Network Hospital.

An event was held in the parking lot of the Joplin Trade Center today. There was food, treats and live music. All proceeds will go to Freeman Health System's Children's Miracle Hospital.

Scott's Ride for Miracles leader, Scott Ressmeyer says, "If we can ride 9,000 miles and raise a little bit of money that's great but to bring that awareness and try to make a difference in that one child's life, if we can do that then we feel like the whole trips been successful."

The Miracle Riders have been doing this adventure for the past 6 years. This is their second time stopping in Joplin.
