JOPLIN, MO.--- Miracle League of Joplin is in full swing. Today they kicked off the start of their 2014 spring baseball season. Every Saturday over the next six weeks, baseball games will be played at the Will Norton Miracle Field, located in the Joplin Athletic Complex. Any young person with disabilities, ages 5 to 20 years old, is eligible to play in the league.
"They're always watching and they never really understand why they can't play. And talking to the parents, it just means so much to the whole family for these kids to have somewhere that they can come out, play some ball, and just get to be kids," said Cameo Harrington, Miracle League of Joplin.
The group is always looking for volunteers. Anyone interested in getting involved in the league can find more information by clicking here.
