JOPLIN, MO.--- McCarthy Building Companies held its third annual golf tournament at Twin Hills Country Club in Joplin today. 84 people took part, raising more than $20,000. The funds will benefit the Ronald Mcdonald House, Lafayette House and the Will Norton Miracle Field.
"What we do focus on primarily seems to be is women and children. Wherever the biggest need is in the community that we're in," said Amanda Darnold, McCarthy Project Administrator.
McCarthy is building the new Mercy Joplin Hospital. In the three years of hosting the golf tournament, the company has raised more than $100,000 for local organizations.
