CARTHAGE, MO.--- The first candidate has officially joined the race to be the next Jasper County clerk. Marilyn Baugh plans to run for the position on the November ballot. She's worked in the county clerk's office for more than 35 years and says she's filled a variety of roles during that time. The position is being vacated by retiring clerk, Bonnie Earl.
"I've been here for so long and feel like I can give a lot of experience and knowledge to the job, that I would definitely be the best candidate for the position because of my experience and knowledge," said Marilyn Baugh, Jasper County Clerk Candidate.
Baugh has been endorsed by the current county clerk, as well as former office holders Ron Mosbaugh and Marjorie Bull.
