WEBB CITY, MO.--- Farmers from around the Joplin area are now selling nearly all summer produce items. That includes sweet corn, tomatoes, melons, mushrooms and even lettuce. The farmer's market features other locally-made products, one of them being Otts Poppy Seed Dressing.
People sampled the famous dressing using cantaloup. Employees of the Otts company explained the various fruits and vegetables that should be paired with the dressing. Sales Manager Stacey Larson says this is the company's first time at the farmer's market and they are making it known they are a Missouri-made product.
"We are a family owned business and that we're right here locally. When you're buying products, when your think of dressings, that you think of local. Also, when you look at the grocery stores as well," said Stacey Larsen, Sales Manager at Otts.
Larson says they will continue to participate in the farmer's market if there are recipes that can use their products.
