JOPLIN, MO.--- The organization needs bilingual volunteers to help communicate with their non-English speaking clients. Volunteers would help with translations, filling out clients paper work, and even be a companion. The shelter provides assistance to women and children who are being abused.
"We want to make sure that we've got all the resources in place to make her very comfortable, to make sure she gets the services she needs, and don't let language be a barrier to her seeking services," said Louise Secker, Director of Development.
