Local Lawmaker Pushes for Right to Farm Amendment

A Neosho lawmaker hopes voters will back his right to farm amendment on the ballot next month.
NEOSHO, MO.--- State Representative Bill Reiboldt sponsored the effort, which he says aims to protect Missouri farms and farmers. He points to national organizations working to limit how agriculture operates within the state. Reiboldt adds passage of the amendment wouldn't eliminate current operating rules.

"We are the most regulated, restricted industry in the nation and we will abide. It's the unreasonable regulations and restrictions," said Rep. Bill Reiboldt, (R) Mo - District 160.

Missouri voters will decide Amendment 1 on the August 5th ballot.
