JOPLIN, MO.--- Crews are making sure everything will be ready. The fireworks display draws the most crowds, but there's a lot that has to happen before the show can start. Liberty pyrotechnics is in charge of setting up the wiring, triggers and the fireworks themselves.
"Get all the products dropped and and all the wirings hooked up. And go ahead and test the system to make sure it all works. So that takes a while, to get all the electronic systems tested out and make sure it's all working," said Robbie Wyrick, Liberty Pyrotechnics.
Events kick off at Landreth Park at 3 p.m. tomorrow with festival food for sale. Live music starts at 5:15 p.m. and the fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m.
