LAMAR, MO.--- Lamar residents will celebrate Earth Day at this weekend's Community Farmers Market. Breakfast will kick off the event on Saturday at 7:30 in the morning with sausage, biscuits, and gravy. The Mahnomen Indian group will also show off their dance moves during the community garage sale at 9:30 a.m. Throughout the day at the Moore Pavilion, there will also be a silent auction, blood pressure checks, cake sale, and the Cub and Girl Scouts will be selling food and drinks. Get your running shoes ready for the fifth annual "Truman Days M4M5K" marathon. The Miles for Missions 5K and 10K event is dedicated to children's organizations and homeless shelters locally, nationally and internationally. Participants can run, walk, ride, or roll in the May 3rd event. Every dollar raised outside of registration fees will go to the organization or group of your choice.
