CARL JUNCTION, MO.--- City leaders have approved a bid to build a disc golf course in the park. Installation and course layout will cost $13,000. The course will also be a full 18 holes.
"We'll start construction probably within the next 30 to 60 days. And it will take another probably 30 days to complete after that," said Steve Lawver, Carl Junction City Administrator.
Disc golf consists of players throwing flying discs at a target. The sport has become a popular activity in other area parks, such as South Mclelland Park in Joplin and at Ozark Community College.
