PITTSBURG, KS.--- The idea of remodeling started three years ago, because the chapel hadn't been updated since the 70's. Patient and family feedback had a lot to do with renovations. The chapel has new features like oak chairs and larger windows. Project leaders say the goal is to suit the patients and their families.
"It's open, it's bright, it's the best of the new and the best of the old. It's still Catholic, but open to everybody," said Jay Gilchrist, Senior Director Mission Integration.
The chapel project is expected to wrap up this Sunday.
