Kansas City Highway Shooter Suspect in Custody

At least three people were injured in the apparently random incidents.
KANSAS CITY, MO.--- At least three people were injured in the apparently random incidents.

The manhunt appears to be over. NBC affiliate KSHB obtaining a video of the man believed to be the suspect in the highway shootings. Police arrested him at his home in Greenview, MO., Thursday.

No charges have been filed at this time. But Kansas City's Police Chief Darryl Forte gave this assurance, "We wanted to make sure the resident and those that travel through Kansas City know that they're safe."

Most of the attacks were south and east of Kansas City with the biggest cluster in a sprawling highway exchange, known as the Grand View Triangle. Three people were wounded in the attacks. No one was killed, but in once close call a bullet stopped short of hitting a three-year-old girl.

The motive is this case is still a mystery. More information is expected to be released about who the suspect is and what charges he may face.
