JOPLIN, MO.--- If you still have downed tree limbs at your home, the City of Joplin will collect them for free. All this week you can drop off your limbs at the city's drop off site. Mary Anne Phillips is the city's recycling coordinator and says the limbs will be grounded up and used for mulch. It will then be given to resdients for free in the spring. The city will also collect Christmas trees and is only available for Joplin residents.
"Some people have moved them to the curb, our crews are going around picking them up, but if you don't get them out in time or if you want them gone right now, you're welcome to bring them here," said Mary Anne Phillips, Recycling Coordinator.
The drop off location is located at 1702 North Schifferdecker Avenue. The site is open Wednesday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
