JOPLIN, MO.--- Joplin sales tax revenue sees a downturn in January. The total came in nearly 9% lower than in January 2013. That's a difference of more than $260,000. The dip comes after an increase of about the same amount the month before. That shows the year to date total is down slightly, or about 1% so far this year.
