JOPLIN, MO.--- The Super Bowl has literally gone to the dogs- and cats. The Joplin Humane Society is hosting a pet adoption bowl and tail-gate party. The dogs will be representing the Broncos and the cats will represent the Seahawks. The two will be competing to see who can raise the most money for the shelter. Each adoption is worth worth six points. You can also buy a point for a dollar by donating to the center. Shelter workers say it's a fun way to celebrate the big game.
"We'd love to empty the whole buidling if we can. It doesn't matter which team wins, because every pet that is adopted is a winner of course," said Lysa Boston, Joplin Shelter Manager.
A tail gate party will also be held at the shelter this Saturday at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited, the contest will end on Sunday at 4 p.m.
