Joplin High Speed Chase

Two people are behind bars and one is still on the loose after a high speed chase through Joplin.

JOPLIN, MO.--- Raymond Asher, 60, of Kansas City, Missouri and Renee Griffith, 26, of Joplin are now in custody. Asher has been charged with resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance. Charges have not been filed against Griffith. They are currently being held at the Jasper County Jail. Bobby Cope, 34, of Joplin ran from the scene and is still on the loose.

The pursuit began on North Main Street in Joplin at the Metro Builder Supply last night. It ended at McClelland and Crane Drive just over the Newton County line when the vehicle crashed. Both Asher and Griffith were taken into custody at the scene. Bobby Cope fled the crash and is still on the loose.
