Joplin Fabick Cat Ribbon Cutting

A Joplin business is up and running in a new location after their original facility on 20th Street was lost in the 2011 tornado.
JOPLIN, MO.--- A local business is up and running in a new location. Fabick Cat employees celebrate the ribbon cutting at their new location on 32nd Street near I-44.

The original facility on 20th Street was lost in the 2011 tornado. Fabick Cat manufactures construction machinery. The company helped Joplin residents after the tornado by bringing in around 100 machines from other locations.

"It was great to come down and support the community here in Joplin. When a natural disaster happens, Caterpillar is usually one of the first ones on the site because usually you're going to have major cleanup or power outages or various other items are going to be needed," said Douglas Fabick, Fabick Cat President.

Fabick Cat has 15 locations in Missouri and Illinois. Representatives say they're excited about having a new facility.
