JOPLIN, MO.--- Here's your chance to visit 200 businesses all under one roof. The Joplin Business Expo is the largest business trade show in the region.
"With our community being changed, there's a lot of new businesses out here," said Ginger Lamar, Joplin Chamber Director, Member SVC and Development.
The showcase allows businesses to show off their products and services.
"They can come out here and visit with 200 businesses, find out who they are what they have to offer," said Lamar.
It also helps people within the area to scout out job opportunities.
"They'll find the right business connections and find the resources that they need," said Lamar.
For one business woman, it's more than making connections.
"It's kind of a home place to come after doing the expo. I kind of consider it a business home," said Gerry Delmez, Administration Corporation Business System in Joplin.
Gerry Delmez has been attending the business expo for 22 years. She says every year you discover a new business in the area.
"Well, a couple of years ago, they had this platform that was like to the tower right up to the ceiling, and they were doing rides on it and that was pretty wild," said Delmez.
Over the years her favorite memories have been the themes and costumes.
"Everybody gets to dress up and try different things and it's kind of a challenge, but you see a lot of different things a lot of fun things out here," said Delmez.
At the end of the day, Delmez says the showcase is beneficial.
"You also get to meet and greet, represent your business and have people come by and see your products, which is wonderful," said Delmez.
The business expo will be open to the public tomorrow morning at ten. Admission is $5 per person, but kids five and under get in for free. If you're a fan of the 70's sitcom "The Brady Bunch," here's your chance to meet Greg Brady. The actor Barry Williams will sign autographs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
