Jasper County Shop with a Deputy Program Sees Successful Year

The Fraternal Order of Police made an agreement with commissioners in 2012 to oversee the program's funds and present an expense report for two years.
CARTHAGE, MO.--- The Fraternal Order of Police reports a successful year for the "Shop with a Deputy Program." This is the second year the Southwest Missouri Fraternal Order of Police Regional Lodge 27 has handled the Jasper County Sheriff's Office Shop with a Deputy Program. The Fraternal Order president says deputies spent their budgeted $16,000. Expenses included buying gift cards for children, helping employees assist with their Christmas, purchasing gift baskets, and Christmas for the public state wards.

"Everything was taken care of. Everybody had a good Christmas because of it, and that's what our goal was and we met that goal," said Chris Carriger, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 27 President.
