The sheriff says this marks the last phase of moving the department into new facilities in Carthage. The final step will be relocating a radio tower from their former headquarters on Atlas Road.

"The tower is down at the old facility and they are getting ready to transport to the new location later this week, weather permitting. As far as the facility's goes, that is the last phase is getting our maintenance building finished," said Randee Kaiser, Jasper Country Sheriff.

The radio tower will be shared with MODOT and moved to the Intersection of 96 and 37 highways near Avilla.
