JOPLIN, MO.--- The head consul of Mexico tours Missouri Southern State University. The consul of Mexico-Kansas City met with school leaders today to talk about potential collaborations. MSSU is interested in gaining international students from Mexico and also starting study abroad opportunities for their own students. The director of the institute of international studies says they have agreements with other universities around the world, but they've never had one in Mexico.
"We're very interested in developing a partnership that would benefit our students and faculty," said Dr. Chad Stebbins, Institute of International Studies Director.
"The better way to know the world is to know what is happening with our neighbors," said Alicia Kerber, Consul of Mezico-Kansas City.
Missouri Southern leaders met with her in Kansas City in December and encouraged her to visit their campus.
