MIAMI, OK.--- The first annual Guns N' Hoses Blood Drive is taking place this week in Miami. Police and firefighters have partnered with the Oklahoma Blood Institute to give blood donations to local hospitals. Whichever service team recruits the most people to donate blood is the winner.
"When it's all said and done, we'll be the winners," said Captain Mike Bolton, Miami Fire Department.
"Put your blood where your mouth is at. So you know, talks one thing, lets show up and see how many people want to give that pint of blood," said Chief George Haralson, Miami Police Department.
The Guns N' Hoses Blood Dive will be held at the First Christian Church in Miami, Wednesday from noon to 7 p.m. And Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Those who donate to the blood drive will receive a free t-shirt after giving blood and two tickets to the Tulsa Zoo.
