JOPLIN, MO.--- An area clinic is trying to detect health problems before they occur. The Freeman Screen Team held an early detection screening. The team tested people for stroke and carotid artery problems. They also checked people for bone density and osteoporosis. The group often puts on these screenings and they've saved several lives.
"Absolutely, we have saved several lives throughout the couple of years we've been doing this. We have usually every time we put this screening on, we have at leave one significant finding," said Shelby Allen, Freeman Health System R.N.
They have the screening the fourth Thursday of every month. If you would like to sign up for next month, you can call 417-347-6555. The cost is $100 and will last about 15 minutes.
